Florida Probate Court - Leon County Probate Court

In Leon County Florida resides a Clerk of the Circuit Court, comprised of several different legal divisions, including one for probate and guardianship administration. Probate is the legal process of administering a deceased individual's assets, through a complex system governed by the Statutes of the Florida Probate Code. A decedent's assets will be disbursed to beneficiaries according to the Last Will and Testament of the decedent, and if there is no Last Will and Testament, then the beneficiaries of the estate as determined by Florida state probate law.

Lastly, the Office of the State Courts Administrator is located in Tallahassee.
